I definitely thought she was mid to late twenties in SLP.

Now playing

“Lesbian, teen, stepmom, MILF, squirt. Lesbian, teen, stepmom, MILF, squirt.”

YoSaffBridge is played by Christina Hendricks, right? I recognize her from “Another Period” (but not “Mad Men” where she looks totally different).

Exactly. The case isn’t about making a “gay wedding cake.” It’s about making a wedding cake for gay customers.

Very disappointed the link doesn’t work. Would love to see this parody taken further.

A publicly-traded company is not a privately owned company, but it is still a private company.

Is that a GIF of Emma Watson pretending to smoke pot?

“It’s just like when a girl from my high school broke both of her ankles because the cops showed up to bust her post-prom hotel room party and she jumped out of a second-story window to avoid getting a drinking ticket.”

This should be one of your union demands.

Just to push a bit on that point: Do you think you’re entitled to see the video just because she put it in public? Isn’t there a parallel between that entitlement and feeling entitled to a woman’s body just because she goes out in public wearing something sexy?

I guess I’m not looking at it as a work by a rape survivor.

I don’t think the video is a great example of activism. But she’s an artist, not an activist.

I think you perfectly understand the message she’s trying to send. The whole point of the piece is those contradictions, which really happen any time we talk about sexual assault. It’s just taking all those questions that we usually don’t think about and putting them right in front of us.

Yup. I think the way it’s distributed is also key. She didn’t announce it; people are finding their way to it through links posted by friends or (now) through media coverage, the same way that people learn about (and maybe gawk at) sexual assault accusations.

I think it’s a really interesting piece. Unlike so much many anti-campus sexual assault activists who argue that consent is a really straightforward and obvious idea, this piece seems to complicate ideas about consent and objectification: “I’m going to watch this because it’s all consensual, but it looks like rape,

I think the R+L=J “theory” is about as sound as the “theories” of evolution and plate tectonics at this point.

Given the mention of the Terror, I’m going to guess that this is either an attempt at satire or a troll.
