Yes, this. Not sure I ever really had a toughness card, merely an immense appreciation for the absurd. So much in the make believe worlds is absurd enough to be enjoyed, but no extraterrestrial horrors any writer has come up with are as scary as things I’ve learned about our world—indifference, starvation, cruelty,

Now, I love trash, especially trash movies—trash horror, trash Sci fi, trash Kung fu, definitely trash 80s action. I also love trash games and a fair amount of trash music.

There are a lot of local restaurants where I’m legitimately more excited to see what they’ll do with the vegetables than I am for the meat. It’s amazing how substantial and flavorful vegetable dishes can be in a good chef’s hands.

One of my friends used to be on the same horror and fantasy show vibe as me, but since having her daughter, she can’t stand violence against or suffering of kids in books or movies or shows like she used to. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with more empathy. Funny thing for me is that I’m all on board with

Nailed it.

I’m jealous of your new couch arriving. We ordered a new couch right before the stay at home orders, and it even got built before everything happened, but now they can’t deliver it (as they’re a local company). So it’s just hanging out in limbo.

We got green garlic in a veggie bundle from a local restaurant, and those are similar to ramps, I think. Very delightful. I already like using leeks rather than onion, so these were even better. Looking forward to the next veggie bundle we’re going to get this weekend.

For being so conspiracy minded, they sure haven't read enough sci fi, because there's way cooler methods of population control out there than this.

Yeah, I try not to let a nap turn into full sleep. That will derail the rest of the day through grogginess.

I’m not much of a nap person, unless one of my dogs lets me curl up next to her on the, and then I can float in near sleep super easily somehow. So that’s nice, unless it’s like this morning where I’m sleepy but having to work and she’s napping on the couch. Lucky dog.

As of last night, it was sloppy joes and snoring dogs that helped refresh us for another day. Today is back to the work routine and just trying to focus on one step in front of the other. Going to be a long road out of this, I’m thinking, so I'm focusing on staying steady. Thank goodness for slow, grindy games that

This comment is close to being a Terrible Lie.

Happy birthday! I just had a birthday on Monday, and my favorite random gaming surprise was accidentally hitting the call out button while playing Death Stranding, and and having another player’s nearby sign reply with a programmed happy birthday message for me. It popped a trophy for me, so I have an auto-screenshot

Yeah, I really hoped all this home time would help slow down the days and make weekends feel longer. Nope. Still not enough hours in the day and weekends are over before I know it.

I grabbed that a couple weeks ago, too, and I’ve been slowly getting back into the GT groove (and earning golds in license tests). It’s great! Lots of single player content at this point, and the physics feel even more deeply simmed than some previous games. Plus, it is so pretty.

Might try for rustic baguettes again this weekend, since we’re getting fridge space back again after mini-csa fresh veggie week has ended. I also just realized that this stay at home period might be the best time to try making some pork rillettes that I’ve been wanting to attempt for a long while. Have to look at

I mean, I, as a literal war god named Kratos, only beat the Valkryrie Queen once (per playthrough), whereas she beat me probably over a hundred times (total, but especially on GMGOW+). So, uh, I’m totally into badass killer women in my Viking cosplay power fantasy, I gotta say.

Looking forward to it!

Having just gotten out of the first main area, so far I’m pretending I’m hiking in the Prometheus sections of Iceland (based only on imagination). Though the terrain makes me think of hikes I've been on in Utah, only much more verdant. The overall color palette makes me doubt I'll see any red rock valleys, but that
