The fact that the dinner was the best bridge crew character development in the history of this show is saying something. I’d love to see more of Detmer and Owosekun, along with the others who’ve not been named (or whose names I missed because they were incidental to Michael Burnham).

I thought this was a good episode, without any overt dangers facing the ship and crew. It was a nice moment to breathe, slow down, and address the characters. The teaser for the next episode has me stupidly excited. Oded Fehr! Severely underrated, and I am always jazzed to see him pop up in anything.

I love how she just kind of ignores the popcorn for a moment before giving in and taking it. Small though they may be, she has great character moments and Michelle Yeoh makes the most of every second she's on screen.
