Didn’t scream already get rebooted into a TV show?

Two words: tentacle porn.

I hated her subplot, but the character (like many of the new characters) is likable. She is earnest in her belief in their mission.  They just did nothing with her.

It is more about the fans that are being genuinely abusive. You can hate on the films all you want. You can even be upset with the creators, but going after people on a personal level IS toxic. Instead of being happy that the Star Wars Universe is expanding with new characters that reflect OUR world (even though

This is such a massive fail.  Reminds me of the failure to protect museums when Iraq was invaded.  While this is important to the people of the region it is also important for the whole world to protect art and cultural artifacts.

This same concept came up on a different situation regarding the Chinese and cultural appropriation. An interviewee on NPR clarified it nicely IMO. She said while the Chinese, from China, may not have had a problem with it, that is because they come from a humongous society where they are NOT marginalized. Here in the

Makes you wonder if by “Politics” he means any kind of  social awareness aka “Social justice” in comics.  Hmm. Like less minority characters?

That is the AIs story.  Humanity has no way of knowing if that is true since they’ve been enslaved for generations.

Even HE is annoyed at constantly being asked about it. I like Idris Elba, but I always thought (long before the reboot) that they should just reboot with a much younger actor and show Bond from his early days. You can have Idris in it as an older 006 or whatever. Then spin him off and wham bam Bond Universe is

Altered Carbon?

Comics so that isn’t important.

There best bet would actually have been to give her back her ORIGINAL body and THEN (RE-)INTRODUCE Kwannon. The character would remain popular even if the mind in the body isn’t Betsy. That would solve ALL the problems AND would introduce an interesting aspect. How would you deal with someone whose body you inhabited

Yes. I don’t watch this show.  But it seems the cool internet thing to do to hate on certain things and LOVE certain things.

While it is predominantly guys their are a lot of toxic female fans.

First thing I thought when reading that was “those actor’s acting styles are very different.” Other than being from around the same era and being in “film noir” movies they aren’t very similar. Also The last thing ANYONE should want is for Cage to ham it up doing an immitation of any of those actors. A poor immitation

Part of space exploration, since it is still so for new to us, is about instilling a sense of wonder in people (to many the space race is passe). So if this project can do that I say it is worth the very unlikely chance it will cause a visual blockage.

Yeah I think it is similar to how some creators pat themselves on the back for having diversity, when really all they did was add a black character to their caste. They have all good intentions, but they think from their perspective “Wow ain’t I great what I did?” I think it is good for minority communities to keep

There is nothing disingenuous about what I wrote. It is all accurate. I will admit that I did not hear about it before hand. I just watched the episode where is was very revealed (in a subtle way). So I wasn’t overly-hyped up. So maybe I am looking at it from a different perspective. Just take a win I say. It is still

My thing is here is a VERY progressive depiction of a strong, heroic gay character and the ONLY take away from some fans is it was not enough. This will just cause other creators to hold of on this kind of diversity for fear of stepping on any land minds.
If the fandom would have said I love the inclusion, but I would

Shiro’s happy ending is being useful to the garrison. He has shown time and time again that the garrison (and Voltron etc) is his top priority. He even chose to go on the mission against Adam’s wishes.  So maybe he IS happy. A romantic happy ending is not the only happy ending.
