Jeez the impact this man and the films he helped get made produced had on my life. I can’t imagine a life where I hadn’t ever rented that VHS of Rumble in the Bronx after hearing so much about Jackie Chan and being blown away.

Thanks for your contribution, asshole.
Well, I’m not a sir, I prefer comrade, friend. ;)
Fuck off with that shit.
Jeez, the people in these comments that think that horror started in the ‘80's and exclusively is slashers, torture porn and jump scares. Watch some arthouse horror or something, it’s not that difficult.
No it doesn’t. Horror as a film genre is a vast thing dating all the way back to the silent era. Gorn is a recent things and there is a veritable mountain of films that don’t rely on it to convey dread and terror as compared to the maybe 5% that do.
You seem to have decided to try and decry the entire genre of horror (from all the way back in the silent era with Nosferatu and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, to the modern era with Hereditary and The Endless) on the basis of one subgenre, the slasher film. Not only that, you’re trying to compare it with another genre…
Thank you for this enlightening response.
I suggest any developer aspiring to make a Lovecraftian game look to this list of films for inspiration and an idea on how to adapt Lovecraft’s themes. (Note that not at all of them feature tentacles and fish men, COS THAT’S NOT ALL THERE IS TO LOVECRAFT!)
I’m not surprised, but I’m still disappointed that Gojira didn’t make the list.
You left out this part:
I’ve really stopped liking them since I learned that anyone with a criminal past of any kind can’t be a member. The Church of Satan shouldn’t be fucking cops. Now he’s putting this up and trying to claim copyright of his design of an existing fictional mythical figure? Nah.
He literally uses the word appropriation and whines about how a fictional show portrays Satanism.
I think I’ll try to watch Green Room again. Not sure if I can handle it. It was one of the most tense experiences I’ve ever had. I definitely recommend it to everyone at least once though.
Still trying to get it downloaded (from what I understand Nexus and moddb were hit *hard* by people for this mod), but from reading about it the graphics are the same, but there may be some larger areas. If you go by some of the author’s recommended mods to make the game look better, like the screenshots suggest…
Honestly, I’m baffled that I ever uninstalled New Vegas, considering how much I play it, but I’m reinstalling it right now and downloading the mod.
She sounds like an absolute chore to watch movies with. Also way to not get the point of the movie at all.
Haxan - As great as its reputation suggests.
Hopefully. A wider release wouldn’t hurt either. (Despite the demand for more Mandy screenings there’s still no hope it will show up anywhere near me.)
Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky, my second attempt watching it, this time I finished it and had a great time. Yukari Oshima is great.
