I agree with everything you wrote, but I also think Columbus doesn’t get enough credit for 1) building the universe on screen, 2) working with source material that was in its infancy, and (most importantly) 3) working with some very young and inexperienced actors.

That film “stands out” as the worst in the series. It was such a significant departure from the previous two films and from the book it was based on. Last one I saw in theaters/paid to see.

Right there with you. It needs to happen. Not any time soon, but preferably in my lifetime. There’s so much material the books left out. It would also be cool to do it as an animated series, so you don’t have to worry about the kids aging too fast (and keeping the effects budget down).

Being a departure from the source material isn’t a negative, in and of itself. Neither is being a departure from two movies directed by Chris Columbus. It’s definitely the best, or one of them, in my opinion.

And yet, to me this was when the movie series started getting good.

It’s still too soon, but sometime down the line, I’d love to see a 7 season, 8/10 episode retelling of the series. Particularly with one creator at the helm–an aspiring Del Toro, if you will–so it’s a cohesive vision. There’s so much that the movies missed, and, because they were made in tandem with the release of the

It’s hilarious to me how people keep writing off Bautista because “Drax is such a minor character.” Drax was a member of the Infinity Watch and he carried the Power Stone.  The odds of A4 ultimately turning out to be “Avengers: Infinity Watch” are tremendously good.

huh The neo Nazi trolls have come back. It’s almost like they have an obsession and are projecting a bit here. Probably shouldn’t be let around kids.

Someone Wanted an Objectively Radical Designation.

He is actually a very good actor. He was just woefully misused in his biggest role to date.

The guy they went with was certainly doing his best Matt Smith impression.lol

So, we’ll have Kylo Ren, Hobbit Ren, Doctor Ren, and possibly Felicity Ren.

Farscape - only idea I can see for a revisit/reboot would be to have someone recreate Crichton’s experiment from before, wind up in a similar area of space, and not necessarily have them meet Moya/Pilot/Rygel at first, but they could show up later. The new pilot’s mission is simply retrieval of Crichton, but the few

Could actually be a Thor 4.

I think he and Keanu are one of my few ‘90’s crushes who didn’t turn out to be gross creeps. I’m glad to hear that

My company worked with him a lot - I never did, personally - and I can tell you every story I heard was charming and lovely. Selfie? Yes. If I call my brother will you say hi? Yes. And very cooperative with production folks. I’m on board.

That’s so nice to know! You just assume people are douchebags, so it’s nice to hear of someone who’s not.

I like my Bond with a little bit of an edge (License to Kill is a favorite of mine) but I do agree that we need a change in tone. Though I think the problem is the grim part and more the melodrama part of the Mendes movie that have overstayed their welcome.

This gives me the warm fuzzies! I am roughly the same age (a little younger, ahem) as Hawk and have always loved watching him skate, break records, set records, create tricks etc. Brings back many, many good memories... and the style!!! Vision Street Wear, checkerboard Vans, baggy pants, sewing patches on my Levi’s

I’ve heard similar from people who’ve worked with him on projects! He’s supposed to be a great guy, humble and down to earth.
