There’s a woman on my fb feed that I used to work with indirectly (I was in our region’s HQ, she was a field employee) that’s maybe 4 or 5 years older than me, and I’m an “older” millennial who has a similar fucked up attitude on this as well.

I worked at Macy’s for 4 holiday seasons, and our rule of thumb was to say Thank You! first and if the customer said Merry Christmas or Happy whatever we’d say it back.
