Everyone judges everyone. The only difference is if you impose your beliefs on others. You've never read about some asshole saying something misogynist on Jezebel and commented that they were an "asshole" or a "bad person"? Or are you really saying someone can only be"judgmental" when you disagree with them?

Conquering happens.

Wonderful piece! More of these please

Came here to say just this.

Now playing

I felt awful for him, and wish Del Bosque had let him finish the game. Del Bosque said that he didn't know it was his last game, which would make him the only Spanish speaker on earth who didn't, but who knows.

His goals are what go Spain over the World Cup hump, and his record will stand for quite a while. Even

Del Bosque got canned at RM days after winning La Liga...

They played a lot looser, though neither team looked really excited to be there.

I was pretty pissed the wise walrus subbed out Villa, thought he deserved 90 minutes (and he looked pretty devastated too).

Interesting to see how many changes they make going forward. If they get it together they could once again be a

Yes, but it seems I'm in the minority big time :(

That's cause it's the winter there...

It's a difficult question and I don't watch enough MLS to answer. But if I have to, yes, most MLS teams I've seen play remind me of mid/low level teams in mid level European leagues. Two or three legit players (either too young or too old) and the rest are lunchpail guys.

In the next year or two Portugal's league will likely pass Serie A. They're UEFA coefficient's are might close

I think it really depends on the lineup, and whether Del Bosque wants to play with Costa or not (I, surprisingly, think he should in this match). Even in the first half of the Netherlands game which went well, the system was too much of a Tiki Taka - Atleti hybrid.

If you play with Costa, I think the ideal lineup is:

Did anyone see this? How the hell does he do this at 30 years old at the end of a match? That's like 2mph slower than Usain Bolt's world record 100m. Is Robben a vampire?!

Yeah, though to be honest "visiting places" and going to an all-inclusive joint are two different trips (at least for me). Sometimes you go visit a place with interesting history, culture, etc., and you want to explore on your own. Sometimes you just want to go somewhere and get drunk on a beach for a few days, and

Thanks a ton!

I've wanted to try this (I'm a sucker for literary characters in other mediums) but I'm pretty damn terrible with scary movies, etc. Is it actually scary?

I agree, but Iker could theoretically still be around for another 2 or 4 years. Xavi is definently gone though. Probably Xabi Alonso as well. Thank God for Javi Martinez, Koke, Fabregas, Cazorla, Silva, Navas or whoever else replaces them!

I agree, as a Spain fan I'm really worried about the Chile game. The Netherlands? Not nearly as much.

Wow. I haven't read any of your articles before, but I'm assuming you're a huge Barça fan? And a Catalan nationalist?

One of the great things about the current Spain side is their ability to unite as a team, and to bridge cultural divides. One only need to look at the celebrations in Plaza España during the final

True, though that part of Ukraine (Galicia) had never been under the influence of Russia until the Nazi/Soviet partition of Poland in 1939. That's a long time to fall, considering how long Russia's been meddling in the area. And there was also a lot of partisan activity under the Soviets.
