How does single payer, in the U.S., bend the cost curve down? It just shifts who pays for it. Do doctors and nurses take pay cuts? Do we eliminate pharmaceuticals and device manufacturers’ profits?

Only by accounting for the subsidies- the actual premiums in the private market are way up- even more than anticipated- but that’s offset by premium subsidies, which are, basically, taking money from other people to help these people pay their bills.
