Seems to me that ramming a lightspeed unmanned Mon Calamari cruiser into the Death Star instead of trusting a teenager with force magic would have been a much better plan to ensure the safety of the galaxy.

It just breaks so much of the established universe. If ramming ships via lightspeed is a thing, why does anyone even use laser canons? The established mode of attack would be fleets of tiny unarmed drones with hyperdrives, kamikaze style attacking. (Basically like the flying scourge in the original Starcraft games)

The Doom of Valyria seems a lot like The Simarillion to me... Great story, but dozens of random elves/Targs running around is a lot more difficult to pull off on screen than on page.

Games aren’t push A to kick, push B to punch anymore. With hundreds of command options and play-styles, it’s pretty fun to have a basic skill-set in a game - then to watch the pros operate on a whole different level.
