A Drop of Hell, A Touch of Strange

If he really got tapeworms in his brain then they are still there and may still be alive. If dead, they do not decompose in the brain but calcify, like little pebbles. Scans can warn of their possible presence but the only sure way to verify their presence or absence, or if they’re still alive, is to section the brain

That they found a micro rate so much higher than the presumed average does support the idea that the problem is undercounted. The small sample size and lack of a broad sample, since a clinic is a source, make their data pretty much unusable as anything other than a point of comparison. The true rate remains somewhere

Thanks, I’m usually on my phone so I’m not sure if there’s an equivalent to right clicking but I’ll give it a shot next time.

Of course not. Pics don’t work. Links don’t work. Avatars are gone. Nothing works. The commenting system lacks the functionality of an early 2000s Harry Potter fansite.

Its not just hungry for bones, the Cybertruck demands flesh and blood as well:

Besides the thing about putting phones down what did they say? All I see are people saying they prefaced their comments with “I don’t mean to be sexist...” but we don’t know what the comments were. I’m sure they weren’t good but I’m not wading through Twitter to find out. Did I miss something in the article or am I

I heard there was a banned episode of a kid’s show where the father gets pregnant. Since cartoons were super weird when I was a kid I expected some Cronenbergian body horror. Possibly a ‘Saturn Devouring His Children’ reference. This is much tamer than I had imagined.

Especially all the engine accessories. Starters, alternators, power steering pumps, those all used to be basically wear items and if you knew your vehicle was particularly bad for one you might carry a spare. I can’t remember the last time I changed one of those. A water pump occasionally but even those last a lot

Are the majority of these cars dying at 200k, i.e. unsafe to drive or constant repairs cost as much or more than a car payment? If so that’s fine, people don’t need a new car every 3-4 years anyway. That was fueled from the top by consumerism and from the bottom by “keeping up with the Joneses”. Status via conspicuous

Yes, the fact that this site resorts to the most specious of connections (bike chains, really?) in order to hop on to hot button bandwagon issues to drive traffic rather than reporting about its raison d’etre well enough to keep an audience is definitely something to brag about.

His son took over the restaurants after he died and has been doing his best to remove any trace of the racism without publicly denouncing his father as a white supremacist. It hasn’t worked that well. Their customers are pretty much all old and their numbers are shrinking. Never seen anyone below middle age go there

I think the medical argument misses the issue that most people use weed recreationally and that the medical programs are just cover. I’ve been smoking for years but I said when this started that if something in weed is good for you they’ll extract it, synthesize it then put it in a pill or an injection. When’s the

I disagree. Stupid people need stupid lies and there are a lot of stupid people. Ethical and social arguments don’t work on people who can’t understand them. So you scare them with Hell and damnation.

I was surprised to find out it wasn’t a “Reindeer Games” prequel. Figured Affleck wanted some redemption. I’m sure this show is fine, it just sucks how streaming removes all meaningful data besides “buzz”, that notoriously easy to manufacture and easier to lose elusive quality that could mean something is the best,

I don't think he can make this worse but he's full of surprises.

Those actors appear roughly the same age rather than the 20 year gap described.

Not sure about the other show but this is on Netflix so no one has any idea how popular this show is other than taking the company’s word. Of course we all know no one would astroturf positive criticism and publicity and that outlets like this would never participate if they were to try.

I saw your comment and wondered if the Elton John song was still the most popular Disney movie song on Billboard. Nope, the “Encanto” song took the top spot. LMM at his most annoying. Kind of surprised to see "Let It Go" was only #4.

Dear Lord I bet that looked terrible if you shined a light on it at an angle. I’ve always wondered if shows like that were the construction equivalent of “Pimp My Ride” as far as the quality of the work. It would be nice to run into one of their renovations to see but unless they had a “Commercial Building Edition” it’

I don’t think it needs to be in a museum although that’s a fine place for it. I wouldn’t think anything of it if the owner was an antique Mercedes collector. Now if they just wanted this car or only collected Nazi period German vehicles then I would make some assumptions about them. When it comes down to it it’s a
