Can confirm. Had a 2001 Prizm that burned oil like it was a 2-stroke. Junked it with 104k miles on it when one day at about 60mph it just went *BANG-clack-clack-clack-clack*, mechanic said it seems like it lost all oil pressure, yet had enough oil in it since I had to add a quart every 1k miles...

In Gran Turismo, I used to enter the 4x4 Dodge Pickup (I forget which one) into the 4WD races because it was exactly that.
