I was shocked how quickly T’Challa returned to Black Panther status. Also agree on KIllmonger arriving in Wakanda sooner. I can see what the movie was trying to do witholding him for so long, but it didn’t quite work for me.

That is most certainly not what I mean. Snoke and Rey’s lineage were aspects of TFA that were repeatedly brought up by main characters (Ren, Leia, Han, Maz). That said “smaller” is a very subjective term so I suppose you can apply that to TFA however you like.
Presuming Benioff & Weiss will be the showrunner,s it’d be a big surprise if MacLaren didn’t direct several episodes.
This sounds kind of interesting. I saw the Jurassic World exhibit when it came to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia and the animatronics were very impressive.
I agree that’s what Luke’s motivation was, again it just seems weird to see Luke Skywalker doing something Jay-Z made famous.
Oh, that’s definitely the point. It just feels completely anachronistic (IMO) to have a Star Wars character brush off their shoulder.
(except for luke brushing his shoulder off, that ruins that moment so bad)
Victims? Correct me if I’m wrong, but as far as I’ve seen there’s just one unsubstantiated accuser. Not exactly the same as the multiple Roy Moore accusers who came forward with evidence.
My first time watching the movies was this past year and found myself feeling bad for most of Slytherin throughout them. Especially when they all get locked in the dungeons at the end of Deathly Hallows just because one girl suggests turning Harry over so they aren’t all murdered.
I went to Harry Potter world without any previous exposure to the series and was blown away by it. That place is incredible.
Thanks I hadn’t seen that. That headline is a little misleading since it lists the tax reform bill right there though and again the timing of the announcement. Either way, it seems Comcast is trying to distract people with these bonuses while they prepare to pillage the internet.
That’s interesting. I’ve seen reports that those bonuses were because of the tax plan and the timing of the announcement seemed to indicate that as well. I’m sure the FCC decision was a factor too though and neither scenario makes them any better.
Perhaps not, though they are at least trying to make it look like those tax breaks are helping out the common folk...for now.
I’m as opposed to the net neutrality repeal as anyone, but this article seems to be off base on a couple topics. First, that those bonuses seem to be more in response to the tax plan than the net neutrality repeal. Secondly, the AT&T bonuses are in addition to the union settlement:
I didn’t hate The Last Jedi for being “too different from the old movies”or hate it at all for that matter. Actually, I liked it and thought it was a very fun, enjoyable movie with some beautiful pieces. What I (and I suspect other “jerks” and “haters”) did not enjoy was how TLJ upended narrative pieces that were…
Yes, that definitely never happened in Empire Strikes Back.
Add to that the way Han and Leia talk about Snoke seducing Ben in TFA. Some of that could be explained by Luke not telling them everything that happened, but they clearly had an idea of who he was and blamed him for Ben turning into Kylo Ren.
Things go bad under Kylo Ren, Hux makes a case they need to get rid of him for the good of the First Order and tries to take him out with overwhelming force.
Boyega was criminally underused in this movie. He’s got so much charisma that was just wasted on that middle sequence,
Completely agree with what you said. I feel like TLJ is a movie that is strong enough to stand on its’ own but lacks connection to TFA in a way that kind of causes the series to spin its’ wheels.
