Is that rhetorical? Or are you implying it’s never the fault of the “victim” for getting shot?

Of all the places NOT to kick down doors in the middle of the night, Texas has to be near the top of the list.

Wow.

Knock, knock, knocking down heaven’s door.

There’s victim blaming and then there’s “not reporting relevant information.” In this case, the crime he was committing is the fucking reason he was shot and killed. I’d say that’s relevant and probably worth mentioning in the article.

Leave it to Deadspin to report an incident where he was the victim of verbal locker room abuse instead of the crime he was committing that actually got himself shot and killed. Gawker media lol.

Dallas News is reporting he got shot kicking down two doors to an apartment that wasn’t his in the middle of the night:

He got shot breaking into an apartment. Kicked down two doors at 3 in the morning. What did he think would happen?

I know you are trying to compare apples to apples, but based on price, for about $380 more, you can get a Ecoboost F150 (instead of the base NA V6) that will deliver 325hp / 375 ft-lbs, get 26 mpg on the highway, and do 0-60 in less than 60 seconds.

Uh... what?! How does that have anything to do with what randyman wrote? Your comment is a complete non-sequitur. Did I miss something? Did he edit his comment? No one said anything about race. He didn’t even say that it was in any way offensive, just that it isn’t necessarily an informed opinion. That’s all. Calm

It’s basically an HX with a grille vaguely reminiscent of an FJ.

It's cool. We thing New York City is just as ridiculous.

I attended in 2000...and then every year since. Sorry your heart has grown shriveled and you believe snarky hater stories instead of checking things out for yourself.

That’s pretty funny - when I went in 2001 everyone was saying how Burning Man is ruined by all the wannabes and dilletantes, and the only “real” Burning Man was mid-90s.

I mean, this is basically the most hipster statement in the whole comments section. Roughly translated to “I went to Burning Man before it was cool.”

Yeah man, it used to be filled with so many open minded people until all those people we didn’t like showed up.

Exactly. I watched the video and all I could say was “No, no, no! Build the wall any time other than during Burning Man. Keep them trapped in SF!”

What you new yorkers will never figure out, is that it’s SUPPOSED to be ridiculous. I love that it’s ridiculous. NEXT!

Attended Burning Man back in 2001 was a great experience. Mainstream popularity has killed this event... especially after being flooded by hoardes of “mundanes” - Frat boys/girls, Tech uber rich assholes with personal chefs, Coachella douche-bags.

In 1999, I drove from Rhode Island to Burning Man to play solo synth with an astonishing group of people. I put everything I am into it, and I got more back. It was transcendent.
