I have an old-ish Wacom drawing pad but am considering switching to an iPad; the new Pros have some nice drawing features. People have also recommended the XP-Pen tablets. They become auxiliary display devices on which you can draw, which is pretty neat IMO. OTOH the iPad would be more than capable for my purposes…
