@kian01: Yes, you can. The files are written to disk. Even if you computer was just naturally losing battery charge and the battery dies, you will start up where you left off, as it will boot from the hibernate file.
You neglected to mention a key feature of Hibernate — you can leave the computer off indefinitely, and unlike Sleep Mode, even if the battery dies, once you plug it in again you'll be right where you left off.
