I think it's completely pertinent. It's also embarrassing for the whole gaming community to see that we've made zero progress to improve this situation. Maybe if we all just pretend it isn't happening it'll go away on it's own... like it did the first time they spotlighted it.

Bravo! So now we're "asking for it"... good lord, no wonder they've been getting away with it for so long. A lot of you are too callow to take a stand against it. Let's go ahead and reverse history and have the laissez-faire attitude towards rape and civil rights while we're at it. It's the same principle. The rest of

Exactly. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that the one's screaming "nigger" and "faggot" aren't black homosexuals.

Not really. It's only slippery if you have slippery morals and don't have the common decency to respect others. I want to play games with others for fun and positive social interaction, not sit and screen idiots that didn't have parents who taught them social etiquette. I can't believe how many of you guys are

You're right, you give in and we'll give up. Sound good?

Yeah, I should forego the use of some technologies because you don't wanna address the problem of jerks spouting hate speech. Anything else you feel I should "opt out" of to make life easier for assholes to subvert for their own enjoyment? Maybe I should stop using the internet altogether. Bullies: +1 The Rest of Us:

Yeah, I don't get why some of these "gamers" are so skittish to stand up and say "this is wrong". Tolerating the intolerant is choosing to endorse and even enable them to continue. If there's no consequence to doing something wrong, where's the incentive to stop?

Even though I believe that we choose to give power to words and language, if the intent behind your language is meant to demean or insult another person, then you have a problem that you need to work out w/ your therapist. It's your ignorance not mine. Besides, the groups that I play multiplayer with don't feel so

I have to disagree, I don't feel desensitized by blood and gore IRL, I don't know how doctors and nurses do it. I believe, when you say that you seek out gore, that you're actually seeking out realism and accuracy rather than the gore itself. I don't specifically buy gory games. Also, empathy is easy to lose touch

I have a cousin like that. She actually has an addiction to misery and self sabotage. I actually had to stop her from coming around because she was so toxic. You have to live in the now or you'll miss every opportunity to enjoy the good things right in front of you.

Well I liked DA2 even with it's flaws because I enjoyed the story as well as the fighting mechanics. I think ppl are crazy to call it a bust just because they were upset about a few heavily repeated dungeons. Still play DA2 and love it. WAY more poorly executed games out there than this.

I'm sure it will be by those obsessed with phallic symbols.

I had some really high hopes for Thief, especially for how long we've waited since the last one. Also, Dishonored set the bar fairly high and I wished Thief had more in common with Bethesda's stealth game as well. I wish I could say you were being harsh; I'm a big fan of the Thief series, but you hit the nail on the

Loved this game. Reinstall it every once in awhile to reminisce.

Oh, did someone say YOU had to eat the whole goddamn thing by yourself? Get out of your mom's basement and get some friends, dick.

Yes, as history has shown, your name has EVERYTHING to do with your experience and knowledge base. Some ppl just choose to be stupid.

Overreacting fanboys need a timeout. If you can't give back constructive criticism without emotionally raping the developers, you're a little bitch. Go to your room without dinner.

Agreed! Religion is the perfect vehicle to control human beings with fear and guilt and to sell them a product that they make payments for in this life and hope to receive in the next. Money and power; it's nature's crack.

Prove it. You're believing in an ancient book with at least 6 translations (so no one can even agree on the content even) and an interactive God who punished ppl for shit that we all do on a daily basis with no repercussions. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket. Good luck with that. At least you won't be

Welcome to the first amendment. Let me show you to the door...
