Yeah, I think that this is something anthropologists and archaeologists have to realize. It does seem like evolution happens on parallel tracks despite creatures being in various isolated pockets. It also seems like evolving into greater complexity is the norm, no?

This happens in all cities with a grid structure, huh?

They're probably all missing their delta brainwave.

Thank you! This was just a very bland movie all around. Look, the cast had almost no chemistry and the aliens were not striking at all. The storyline was very generic, the action scenes were pretty generic. I think it's hard to say that the title and marketing really had very little to do with it failing. Word

I love Alan Scott, he's a great hero and deserves the spotlight. I agree with you there.

So I don't watch this show but I read the recaps because I like Esther's writing and (well used to like anyway) DC Comics. All I can say is, holy crap, they seem to have thrown every single DC character and team ever into this show. It's insane!

The electronet grew closer. I cringed.

when will super hero movies stop giving us horrible villains like this?

To quote Futurama:

Why the heck aren't HUMANS using lateral gene transfer???

FYI, I'm a lawyer...

sorry to be that guy, but you have a typo in your title...

Why would I ask the people of io9? To push the boundaries of discovery with our imagination of course. I don't expect people to actually KNOW if we can do it. But I do expect people to DISCUSS IF we can do it and how that might work.

A) I could watch an animated GIF of Jennifer Lawrence doing anything for hours. Eating cereal, clicking a remote control, watching other GIFs... Seriously, anything.

Can we use these filaments to travel between galaxies?

How screwed are we? Should I start hoarding water now?

I guess perhaps that's true for a lot of people, not being "wowed" and "blown away." I actually was wowed with the first episode. But it had a big star in the lead role that people like, a huge pedigree from the production company, and a lot of hype.

There was a lot of potential here, but it was squandered. It never should have been a case of the week procedural show. I believe it would have been a lot more interesting if they had stuck with the threads of the pilot, hunting down the drug dealers, finding Urban's girlfriend, etc. They set up all this great

No kidding! Paxton's been completely MIA since Twister, and now he's everywhere?
