Agreed; they can't win. If you're too personable and warm, it starts to look suspicious. Or if you're more reserved/less talkative, you're viewed as too cold and not showing enough "appreciation." I feel bad for both women.

Yep I've heard that one before. It reminds me of that episode in Girls when they're talking about being pretty enough to have a "pretty job." I don't want a pretty job - too much pressure to keep up the fucking "prettiness." Ugh.

Daria was way ahead of it's time. I recently just binge watched a bunch of episodes and was blown away by some of the concepts. Not many shows dealt with the issues in high school in the 90's the way Daria did.

I think it's a combination of mental illness, potentially drugs, and an eating disorder (which she's admitted to having). Not eating for a long period of time can make you crazy; I would know. I had an eating disorder and I went into a deep depression and had manic episodes.
