The PS3 and the PS4 versions are a good remasters, I have em’ both. Something about the PS4 version really catched my eye though - textures, colors, and effects are outstanding. Getting used to the arranged music too (I went with original on PS3), they really did a great job.

So, yesterday I pick up Final Fantasy X HD on PS4. I really enjoy how great it looks on my TV on a modern console and think “Man, I wish they’d do this for Dragon Quest VIII...” Then I wake up the next day and see they are, but it’s on the 3DS?! This is total crap. Yep, I’m pissed.

Cool. This sounds like what I wanted Metal Gear Acid to be. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still an OK game..

Go to the hardware store and get a sheet of plexiglass cut, stick some felt pads on the edges of the TV and game on, scratch-free.

Been watching a lot of these on Kotaku this year, and I have to say - given the teeny tiny difference between the Titan X and the 980, The titan seems like a big waste of money compared to it.

You should keep a copy of Final Doom laying around in case it ever happens again.

I realize they (eBay) did this under the statement about recorded software, but this isn’t fair. If they are going to pick on these people, they should have done something about the Scalpers who stood in line to buy Gold Majora 3DS systems, only to rip off loving fans on eBay. Maybe if they had came with a

Nice article. However, about the steam status part: I use this site instead, I find it to be a bit more detailed, as it breaks things down by server and function, shows how long since last downtime, and updates very fast. Check it out here: https://steamstat.us/

I’m torn on this one. Not being able to mod single player sucks. I don’t like that. Not being able to mod online, fine by me - I can’t stand cheaters online. If the reason I can’t mod at all, was some security reason like “The most secure way to inhibit cheaters online was to lock the entire game down from mod use” -

...Thing is, this took so long, and will take so much longer, not really excited anymore. Too much competition now, which mean buy none of them, and wait to see what the guinea pigs who buy them first think, then make a wiser decision and purchase the best one - which may not be this one.

I have the game installed, have for some time now. Have yet to play much of it, but now I guess I’ll play thru before they take further action to stop that too.

The option to roll back updates to a previous game version - bravo GOG! Nice feature.

This is great news, I’ve been waiting for this day. I think compared to the others (Steam, Origin, Uplay) GOG is the best. They keep great games alive, the community is nice, and I love the features like user “Mix Lists”.

Oh, man, I forgot about that. My neighbor had GT2. Escudo was the “money maker”. You could rubber band down the accelerate button on the controller, win win win, and go make some nachos. Good times.

Burnout 3 - Best crashing ever. Me and my friends used to have a lot of all-nighters trying for the perfect crashing pile-up... So much fun, and still fun!

I recently installed an old racing game from when I was a kid - “Megarace”, thanks to GOG.com. It came bundled with a Packard Bell 486 PC, and I never could play much as as a kid, as the game had a freeze bug (this was long before update patches and internet fixes).

Me too! I have had the locker dream. Never knew it wasn’t just me... Thanks Lifehacker :)

Cool. Reminds me of the good ole’ days when me and a friend spent a whole day trying to get to the hidden Liberty City map in the sky in San Andreas, going only on a rumor from a co-worker who claimed to have seen it. We found it. We were amazed. a city in the sky!

They list the 30 FPS as “targeted”. I’m willing to bet it has some frame drop at release. After looking at how detailed that game world is, I’d be surprised if it doesn't.
