This. I get there are many people with crappy connections, but the connection I have is already fast enough to do what I want. Would I turn down faster downloads? No. But my biggest problems are data caps and price, not speed.

And when it does get there, it could have latency speeds equivalent to, or faster than, gaming on a local machine.
Yup. I saw people discussing the same thing on the PS5 sub.
Sure, eventually. People are still going to get frustrated when they can’t get one and see tens of thousands on eBay. That’s a reason to get frustrated and nothing will be done better in the future if people don’t make it known that things went poorly. Also, some people may be buying for others and trying to beat…
That’s part of the stated problem here. You read the article, right? You have to click on a link fast enough to beat the bots and scalpers. So for a lot of people this does turn into a constant hunt if demand continues to far exceed the supply.
Everything you say is true, but without the early adopters none of the rest happens.
Yup, pack it all up. No fun for anyone until all problems are solved.

I guess to me none of that seems particularly aimed at kids. And most of their stuff rolls back around into the shops if you wait long enough. Or at least something very similar. There’s actually been some complaints from the fanbase recently about them ruining the rarity of some items by bringing them back. …
Fortnight is incredibly exploitative towards kids, and I really don’t like this at all.
I don’t feel bad for Epic, they wanted a fight and they got one. Did they think that their fanbase was suddenly going to trade in their iPhones for Androids? Just to play Fortnite? On a 6 inch screen? While everyone is locked at home? With TVs? Wtf.
We are a very divided and hypocritical country.
If that’s actually the only reason for keeping LF from at least making a cameo in the movie then they should simply ignore the game. It was a bad game few people even know about. No one cares. Toss it.
You argued against your own argument. And it doesn’t matter if it’s arbitrary, as long as it’s consistent
That is wrong. Joanna missed the fact that Apple ALSO has a standing rule that an app cannot have a link to an external website to make that purchase. THAT is what Fortnite violated by having a link to “Epic Direct Pay.”
Yes, they can.
This is not strictly true. V-bucks purchased on Switch and PS4 are bound to those platforms, but everything else is cross platform (scroll down to billing):
Those “certain groups” are targeted more, arrested more, charged more, convicted more, and given longer sentences for exactly the same crimes. The police and judicial system are creating these circumstances.
So it’s OK that cops sometimes do? GTFO with your whataboutism.
Really? You looked them all up did you? What about Breonna Taylor? They thought someone was breaking into her home. Daniel Shaver? He was trying to comply repeatedly while the dumb fucking cop gave a laundry list of unnecessary, confusing, and nearly impossible commands to follow. There are many others we can…
I haven’t thought about it this way before, but I agree this is certainly the case. And, yeah, it’s depressing.
