Speaking of downloading, Steam has been giving hell recently with ridiculous preallocation time for games (happens for several of my friends as well). A simple 50mb (MB!) update can take several hours to preallocate for certain games (Like Divinity 2 or Total War). When it is a big update I need to start downloading a

I really love RoTK X for the ability to play as an officer or a ruler along with strong support for role immersion. I’m a bit sad that there was never a translated release of its expansion that added content and fixed a few issues (I think siege weapons were more balanced and AI was improved).

I find it especially ironic coming from Epic when most of their games are unabashedly ultra violent.

Subjects related to the development of games directly affect the games industry. If you want to close your eyes to it you should just avoid news and stick to review scores.

“Damn those video games for making people go buy guns from the gun section!”

I’ve been sitting here thinking about it and maybe random level ups aren’t so bad since there is no multiplayer (so balance isn’t so important). I’m still not saying it is good design, but it does force you to deal with what you get and try to finish the game.

Having enjoyed Awakening, been meh on Conquest, and being burnt out by Heroes I’m pretty on the fence about this one. I really like the divine pulse revive idea but I dislike that they went back to the insufferable random level ups instead of the ‘same stats in the end’ system they had in Heroes.

I know right? :(  Couldn’t we at least get some cameos?

Wow, you were right about that cover art. Yikes.

The sniper games are said to have very good co-op and have had generally good reviews.  I’ll probably give them a shot at some point.

Ha! I just saw that show and wondered what that game was. Usually these shows have games that are obviously fake and look like some mashed together clipart abomination (or stock Unity assets if they’re trying a bit harder).

I definitely agree. I like when each narrative choice has both a plus and a minus, and it is better if there isn’t something like a strict good vs evil meter. The more shades of grey the better. When there is always a right or best choice I just give up and decide that the game wants me to use a faq (and it can still

I try to aim for around a 30%-50% clear rate for my levels. It can be surprisingly hard to get the clear rate that high and still have the level be fun.

Maybe they’re getting their ideas from Street Fighter games.

This issue is specifically in reference to the little button extension bars you can attach when you play with a single joycon. I actually prefer not using them but my wife and her friends really like them.

I kind of agree aesthetically, but one advantage of having different colors is a clear differentiation of which one is left and right. This makes a difference once you or your friend has jammed the identical black one onto the wrong side for the umteenth time.

It might be possible to design a software solution to compensate for the drift.

I was really hoping to play this game with my wife. Sadly it turns out that there is no local co-op and no story mode co-op. I could have even bought a second Switch if there were story mode co-op.

I’m very interested in the other ‘delux’ Switch model that was rumored. I hope it is still going to be released.

Right? I want to loosen up all those tight slots with my screwdriver.
