He was definitely conscious of that weight though, I mean good lord the compression! that might actually be the secret, well that and negative lag, to how fast it is around the track.

Not a megayacht. Just a yacht. This would be like calling a Cayman a supercar

There’s a reason it’s not touchscreen.

Oh I threw soooo much stupid stuff at my Neon. Look at this interior. LOOK AT IT:

I installed a LeBra on my ‘86 MR2. I thought car bras looked so cool. In less than a year, the trapped moisture, pine needles, and grime meant that while the fascia remained chip-free, it was now scratched and dull with bubbling rust at the contact points of the wheel arches.

Can I just point out that doing a roll bar drop test without the doors installed gives a very false impression - the a-pillar windows in a Miata have a substantial steel bar at the back of them that is meant to triangulate and prevent the windshield compressing too much in the event of a rollover. They’re not flawless

Nice work! But a few things noteworthy here that I immediately saw from a quick read:

Yeah, watching an actual Miata drop test was... disconcerting. I’m gonna try to keep the shiny side up.

two things:

1: why would you have _any_ door cards in a stripped out track car

The broomstick test is typically done with a helmet on, don’t forget to budget the extra 2 inches for a helmet.

Don’t forget the dead blows!

I think that wheel/tire combo looks awesome on that. hahaha

So, there wont be left over wheels every year? Probably just as well, really.

A manual-shift U-Haul or any rental truck is the definite device of torture for any glutton of punishment. Big chassis, wimpy engine, stick shift, and a giant blind spot behind your head. What’s not to like here?

I’m friends with the guy who hosted this meet. Based on all the posts in various local car FB groups, he’d just gotten the car in October, and the tires were from 2016. So it was probably only the second or third time he’d driven the car, and the tires were junk from age. Shame.

Quite honestly, the obsession with values among owners is the worst part of driving an expensive/rare car.

Tell me you have never actually driven your Viper without telling my you haven’t actually driven your Viper

Everyone already knows you’re a badass, you’re driving a Viper!
