Ranking a video game highly because of a story is a pretentious thing to do. Last of Us had a good story when compared to other video games, but if you edited down to a movie or wrote the same story as a novel, it would be ham-fisted and cliched. Maybe some day, video game stories will be able to match the feelings…

If the gameplay wasn't horrible, I'd agree. Story and setting were great, but the gameplay just ruined it for me. Actually sold my copy back to Gamestop a few days ago.

Resolution: There's a lot I hold dear in making games, but I think for developers, having fun is most important. The atmosphere of the workplace shows clearly in a game's quality, so I want to treasure a team atmosphere where each member can have fun developing games. Also, 2014 will be the year where a new project…
