I know a handful of people who are on the QA and dev teams at Epic, and boy do they ever have crunch stories to tell. I will say that in the last year or so, Epic has been switching to sort of a “volunteer model”, where people can stay extra hours with some pretty incredible benefits, but if they don’t it doesn’t mean

I go for this one every time I’m at the store, but it never lands. I don’t think it’s overused, but they always give me confused glances like I’m currently birthing a monkey out of my eye socket. That probably means I should stop, right?

Now playing

You leave me no choice, but to ask you nicely again!

I’ll happily take all the way up through 12, but beyond that there is no hope.

Gears of War co-op was always one of my favorite things. I can’t wait until my son is old enough that we can do that sort of thing together.

Why, because he’s talented? I haven’t had the high-profile success that this guy has, but I work as an animator (and formerly as a graphic designer) and I’m colorblind. There are varying degrees of colorblindness (or CVD), some more severe than others. If you study color theory you can compensate quite a bit for your

Hey hey hey, you know just as well as I do that if you like something, automatically your journalistic integrity is forfeit and you have to put on your Shill Badge (TM).

That’s what I’m curious about. I play Mario Run from time to time because it’s decently fun, and paid the 10 bucks for the whole version because I felt it was worth it for that much content. I was hoping Dr. Mario would be similar, but instead it felt more like traditional “pay-to-advance-quicker” mobile games, which

I have friends that are testers at Red Storm, Epic, and Insomniac games, and many of their stories mirror Treyarch’s QA staff. The “dangling carrot” of full-time employment is a constant issue, because life on the full-time side is WAY better: better bonuses, better pay, incredible benefits, and an elevated level of

Pah! Hot air balloon? More like injecting burnt fuel STRAIGHT into the atmosphere. A TRUE environmentalist would ride Heelys the whole way there.

Yeah, I saw that Reddit comment a week or two ago, which then got posted as a TIL, and then showed up on a bunch of blogs and news sites. I don’t mind though, because it’s hilarious every time I watch it.

I really liked Igor. Wasn’t really sure what to expect from it, but was pleasantly surprised. I way underestimated Tyler the Creator’s creativity this time around.

Why does this game lead to a gaming addiction? Because it’s a game kids like? There are a lot of those. Why does this game contribute to that “issue” more than others?

Everyone who sells content is doing it for money, so why is it “bullshit” for Fortnite? Are you upset that the paid content doesn’t affect the game?

I see this opinion all over the place all the time, but I never see any real defense of it, except “Epic bad” or “I can’t aim at anything”. Now, I don’t play Fortnite, but I follow news enough to see that they’re constantly adding content and modes to the game, with an evolving map, weapons, vehicles, tons of skins,

Yeah, the flat “No,” feels disingenuous. It came out a little later, but still released near the timeframe, so you think they’d get at least a LITTLE credit.

Yeah, I remember reading an article about that here a few months ago. Bummed me out, because those games were so cool for their time.

I don’t know. I have friends, a family, and a career (in art, no less), and I draw dicks all the time. They just look so funny!

Yes.

Oh my god.

A lot of fans are upset that the game isn’t releasing on Steam until a year from now and is a timed exclusive on the Epic store, so that’s what you’re missing.
