Same for me. Been on this site since 2005, and had multiple interactions with talented writers here, on other platforms, and even in real life. The fact that I had no clue that the kind and talented Fahey, whom I’ve been reading for well over a DECADE, passed away speaks volumes about the current state of things here.

When my kid started playing early this year, I got roped in as well. We play Duos together a lot, and I found myself genuinely having a good time. Zero-Build was what got me playing solo, though. Suddenly, it’s just a fun and creative 3rd Person shooter with near constant updates and decent value in their cosmetics,

Same! I was very confused, but I enjoyed the silliness of the mission itself. The bad guy announcing things like, “Kill them, and steal their tasty, tasty tacos!” was the Far Cry absurdity that I love.

Plus the motorcycle you got after completing the mission was awesome. This explains why it wasn’t unlocked anywhere

I noticed that too. I did some warping/fudging in Photoshop, and I definitely think Felix probably used something like Liquify to bend the shape and used it as a backing, but with more alterations than what happened with Nicol Bolas. The head shape is a dead ringer.

Red Letter Media’s whole thing is commentary! Movie reviews and discussion, plus some fun approaches to long forgotten “films”. They’re uniquely entertaining people. This clip stood out because after watching every Resident Evil movie in a row, with all of them somewhat worn out by it, this ridiculous scene happens

I’m the same, but now that I have children there are no less than 4 concurrent games fighting for activity on any one system at a time.

I finished the main game when it came out, and in the 5 years since have promised myself probably weekly that I would get back to it to play the DLC that I already paid for. I think with this happening now, I might finally get just enough of a push to play through the whole thing again. I’m also planning something

I’m with you. It’s like:

I’ve been using NordVPN for about a year and a half myself, and have from time to time run into issues with Netflix blocking VPNs. The thing is, if I couldn’t work out an approach myself, contacting their support has always been great the few times I had to. They responded quickly and concisely, and we were usually

I’ve always loved Half Life’s world, and I’m jived to play Alyx. I know a lot of people are bitter about it being a VR only title, but maybe if it’s the thing that kickstarts their creative engines to lead to more games, it might be worth it.

Just a quick addition that bump maps are rarely used in games nowadays, unless a specific asset benefits from a more subtle texture coming from a smaller grayscale image instead of a full RGB texture map. Most objects use normal maps, which are way better at recreating smooth, uneven surfaces.

There are a lot of Chinese companies that flood the market with cheap electronics, but Anker is one of the few that I actually trust. I have one of their bluetooth speakers too that I love, and have replaced most of my USB cables with their braided ones (which have lasted years without wear).

Huh. I hadn’t heard of this at all, but it’s clearly a very blatant clone. I wonder if it would survive any sort of legal intervention?

Honestly though, it looks pretty fun. I like the idea of double battles and stamina to add some depth and strategy, and the MMO component seems, while not all that deep, at least like

In terms of subject, it’s likely the first widespread meme based on a visual instead of just an idea. Nobody watches the fucking Golden Globes anyway.

Anyone have any personal experience playing this? I’ve been looking for something exactly like this, but I also bought in to the whole Wii Fit thing and there wasn’t much to get out of it.

I have a TCL 4 series in my bedroom, and honestly it’s absolutely worth the paltry 400 bucks I paid for it a year ago. My wife and I have become huge fans of Roku functionality as well. Thinking about it now, it seems inevitable that I’ll upgrade to the 6 series for the living room.

Wow, that’s honestly a hell of a price. I’ve had a 60' M series since 2015, and it’s still going strong. It used to cost $1200, so when I got it for a grand I was so proud of the great deal I got.

Well put, Mike. I’ll never understand how people like to go online and tell people they don’t know that they’re not allowed to be unhappy about anything because someone else has it worse.

You’re exactly right. What’s to keep other employees from adhering to their NDAs if Epic doesn’t enforce them? He screwed up, and fighting a company the size of Epic on this is going to be near impossible.

Most developers sign exclusivity deals with the Epic Games Store because they guarantee a certain number of sales, or offer a (relatively) hefty bonus of some kind. I don’t think Sony really needs that.
