Are you on drugs? I have yet to find an SUV that drives as well as the crappiest car on the market. Absolutely no comparison. Any car based chassis will always drive and perform better than a SUV on the street, not to mention be able to out handle it and out brake it...all aspects of active safety.

I call shenanigans. SUVs are inherently unstable because of their top-heavy construction and are typically truck-based which hinders ride quality. Minivans are typically car-based and have all the advantages of the car they are based on.

Yes, East TN has the worst consistent fog I have ever seen, coupled with some of the scariest/sketchiest vehicles I have ever seen on a public road. I am not sure how well those lights you mention actually work, but I’m pretty surprised the state installed them and hope they help save lives.

Some convert to the DOT bumpers too. I guess that it makes it more unique in the sea of euro 116 over there.

Park bench bumpers, as I call them. Not cheap, and a lot of the old fuddy duddy owners of these just don’t care. Euro lights help too (funny thing, some in Europe like to convert to DOT spec lights).

In my part of Europe (infamous for fog) we also have road markings on motorways so that you can check visibility. If you can only see two marks, you should only be doing 50 km/h. If you can only see one mark, it’s basically walking speed.
