In episode 2F09 when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib twice in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of a magic xylophone or something?

Just like your generation to break down everything that is wrong with something to the point of self hatred. Why is it needed by Kotaku and it's rising hipster army of self righteous and over ego inflated ego's to point out the flaws in everything . Sad that you all live your lives like that.

"The data showed a massive 3-millisecond spike, but unlike radio blasts produced by some pulsars, the burst did not recur."

I can't decide if in my lifetime, if I only got 'one', if it would be a Contact-type signal, a Ghost in the Shell level of technological achievement and resulting singularity & AI combined moment, or what else escapes my immediate memory right now because those two are so mind-bending/blowingly awesome that I can't

Yes I can speak in absolutes, until proven to the contrary. But because there is not a single shard of evidence for a metaphysical world, I will die speaking in the absolute term that there is no such thing. If it does not hold up to scientific scrutiny, it does not exist. If it requires the breaking of physical laws

Also, takes the light saber with him when he goes to check out the spooky tree or whatever, despite Yoda's warnings. And he runs off to save Leia and Han, again disobeying Yoda.

It really doesn't have anything to do with free speech. Creationists have the right to espouse whatever they want, and that is protected by the gov't. But those ideas aren't protected from criticism, and that's why they aren't roundly considered viable by real scientists. This isn't censorship, it's educated people

"this(ese) [video, photos] will <make you react in a specific way>. please io9, don't. the images are great anyway.
