This deserves more stars.

This would have been much better as a series, to give the worldbuilding time to develop.

Meh, this is no big deal. I did the same exact thing at the last sporting event I attended.

Hockey in the USA is about to or has been overtaken by soccer. TV ratings are static at best - last year’s Cup final got a 2.7 rating, the same as when Pittsburgh won the Cup in 2009. WNBA matches regularly outdraw some NHL games in markets the NHL considers “strong”.

That’s the issue with so much of society today. This type of “speak truth to power” behavior (and being obnoxious about it...that is key) might seem to be amazing and honest and a better approach, but it does not equate to success. They are not really doing this kid any favors by applauding it. The kid is clearly

Strength coaches...oh boy. They generally get paid to motivate and play psych games more than anything else, as was displayed here. Football players at this level know full well how to lift.
