1. Not a Muslim ban
Here is me stirring the pot. Why? Because I’m honestly wanting to see the responses.
It’s not a fucking ban Matt! Report the facts!
Or just call it the Immigration Ban, since that’s what it’s called. ;)
the Muslim Ban
Jeopardy is the least impressive of those on the list. Chess, Go, and poker (soon I guess) are much more impressive and don’t rely on things that can be easily explained away as inherently better in a machine (reaction time).
I firmly believe that if the game were played in a manner where every question was played similar to final jeopardy (where all players can answer the question and then see who’s right), Watson would’ve gotten its silicon ass handed to it.
Assuming you believe Watson’s creators, it is impressive, isn’t it? The fact that Watson would only buzz in if it’s computed confidence was higher than a certain factor, otherwise it would suffer the same 250ms ‘lockout’ as human players do, is really interesting. So there’s a lot of computation going on there as to…
I’m afraid I’m not near DC. In fact, I’m on the other end of country (Idaho) but, depending how my political career plays out, who knows? =) I do enjoy this conversation immensely as well. To have someone online not pushing an agenda in my face as to make civil discourse impossible is quite rare on the Internet. …
John Lewis attacks Donald Trump’s legitimacy and Mr. Trump is.in the wrong for responding? I think not. How does history get revised so fast?
Excellent points, all. Before I start, quick clarification. MSNBC did exist first but in it’s larval form is was simply a geeky tech attempt at for Microsoft and NBC to jump into a more “tech-saavy” viewer base. If you need any more proof as to what they weren’t back then, Ann Coulter was one of their contributors.…
“If Mario Kart Wii would have come out on every console, it still would have sold as many, or more copies, and no other game would have been harmed or cancelled.”
So the argument is that Nintendo games suffocate the market for games on Nintendo consoles. That’s still not a valid comparison.
Okay, this is gonna be fun.
But you are only looking at only part of the big picture: You are only comparing the total number of Mario Kart games sold vs GT. You left out the number of consoles sold too that those games released on. That plays a pretty significant part, if you ask me.
That numbers game is actually pretty fascinating. It’s so easy to get acclimated to the pure volume of their sales that the size is really hard to understate.
You’re right, it depends on what they do with Maxwell — but it’s still disappointing (if totally understandable), that they are using the older chipset. And the Eurogamer breakdown indicates Nintendo isn’t even the full power of the X1...which might be necessary for battery life...but it also slightly concerning. But…
I really enjoyed the civility to your reply, thank you. :-)
When a powerful U.S. Senator is delivering copies of Pizzagate conspiracy theory manifestos to the director of the FBI, this equivalence will become valid.
Pizzagate isn’t a fair comparison. The sources for that story were proven authentic emails from Wikileaks that you could read yourself and an FBI notice about the use of code words pizza/pasta/sauce/hotdog/cheese by pedophiles.
