Considering how botched Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo was, the use of the Mandarin in this was pure genius... and far more effective and logical than the "Ras al gul" ripoff it's being made out to be.

Only in an Iron Man movie can you get away with having an absurd stuffed animal be a topic of conversation and reason for "having a lot of apologies to make".

Looks like some sweet stop motion effects too.

The numbers may be a bit conflated but I think proportionally the graphic makes it's point. There's probably more humboldt squid attacks per year on humans than shark attacks.

I'd include Iron Man House of M, for the insane and beautiful artwork and Greg Pak's writing. Iron Man in crazed neon micronaut armor fighting sentinels.

Absolutely agree on Fraction's run.

Ron Perlman looks better than most people I know at 63 though. That's a brick shithouse right there, even at 70 he could probably kick all our asses.

Looking forward to when Mackie and Renner can get a scene together as Falcon and Hawkeye for the Hurt Locker reunion.

Patrick Stewart and Angela Bassett on screen together at last...

Light up Supes suit that would have worked better for Green Lantern... 100K

I never realized it had lyrics, now that song sounds so much better.

Nah that's the "science room" Charlie Day was in. Supposedly he's doing research on the kaiju so there's going to be a buddy-ing up of Charlie and Ron, which should be fricken hilarious.

Now playing

Lynch's Dune is definitely a guilty pleasure. From the Sardaukar's garbage bag/exterminator aesthetic to the Harkonen hairless cats with heart plugs... it's a trip. I didn't even mind the voice weapons, although the some of the Toto stuff I could do without.

2,500 tons of awesome.

That's how Picard vacations, Patrick Stewart does it like this.

I was really hoping that it would be an Odin undo, bringing him to Asgard to compensate for his adopted son's misdeeds. And after being a pest (essentially pointing out cooly how inefficient they run their operation) in Asgard, Odin sent him back to Earth.
