I loved the interaction between Sansa and Theon. They’re the only two people who understand what a truly despicable piece of filth Ramsay was. Sansa has become one of the most well-rounded characters in the whole series. I almost don’t care who sits on the Iron Throne, so long as she gets to be Warden of the North.

Everybody’s talking about the make-up, but I’m more curious about the character. I hope they had time to develop Carol to make her a more fully-fledged individual in Endgame. I didn’t like the whole memory loss plot for Captain Marvel — it took too long to resolve and we really didn’t get an idea of who she was until

Maybe if she smiled more this wouldn’t be such a problem.

That judge should have closed his mouth.

First of all, I’m so sorry for whatever trauma you experienced. If you’re anything like me, the Trump era has been a fucking nightmare because of that and I’m sorry you have to go through it. As to your comment, it is true that these Biden issues are different than sexual assault, but in my mind they fit perfectly

Agreed. It is up to the victims to decide if they want to disclose their abuse, not a writer trying to squeeze out every salacious detail for the sake of clicks. There is a way to discuss the abuse allegations against Lou Pearlman while simultaneously respecting his victims and this wasn't it.

Aaron Carter is still deeply protective of Perlman. By the time his career was being launched his own family had pretty much come apart and Perlman positioned himself as Aaron’s surrogate father.

I think you’re right that there’s a troubling lack of interrogation of the prevailing culture here, but I’m worried you seem to be falling back on moms to fix it. If my husband doesn’t do his share of the work, is that my fault for not holding him accountable? I agree that winemakers, husbands, and just about everyone

LOL my kids are super close in age ...we would all get together on friday nights and put all the kids in the living room to play and we would hang out in the kitchen and have a couple drinks and just let it out. It was a huge savior of my sanity!

It is and it isn’t. They are actually really good at hitting the sweet spot of “mommy issues” without preaching. It’s genius marketing, bc everything they put out has a grain of truth that hits home for moms (they are hitting a broad market), even if we are a bit annoyed. They are pretty smart with it, even if it is

I’m a working Irish Twins mom to a 4 and 5 year old born 11 months apart who are fucking spitfires on a good day,and my emotional state on any particular day IS fragile. And I actually AM in a mom group that gets together a couple times a month to drink a lot of wine and complain about shit and recently organized an

While this is true, I think we also need to let go of the idea that the good/kind actions of abusers are all simply part of a veneer crafted with the intention to deceive. I think setting up that caricature of predators help contribute to people’s disbelief of victims because under that paradigm, they have to believe

“as much”? really? That attitude is just a click away from blaming (women) rape victims for the clothes they wore or the amount they drank.

Right? “His sexual needs were his sexual needs.” I can’t even wrap my head around how a person can just say that when the “need” in question is sex with children. Children’s needs—safety, not being raped, not having a trusted adult manipulate and abuse them—greatly outweigh whatever sexual needs Jackson had.

This was the first episode where I actually identified with Ilana! Being a person who actually STAYS in NYC after one’s twenties is a particular painful thing because in general, all your friends leave and you realize that for a shit-ton of people, moving to New York is a thing they always mean to be temporary, a

Not only that, but time has a a way of shaping our memories, particularly if we’ve suffered trauma, or mental illness, or drug abuse, or all three. I have no trouble believing that she suffered abuse at the hands of Joseph Jackson, and exaggerated those memories as she was abused by Jack Gordon, and came to believe

When I was in college - back in the long long ago - I scheduled my classes so that I wouldn’t miss All My Children. What I remember from then is how we thought Michael was trying to look like LaToya, not the other way around.

If she refuted the claims only after her brother’s death, maybe she saw it as an opportunity to enter her niece’s and nephews’ lives and be a safe space. Where was she in the custody battle? Because that got ugly, too, if I vaguely recall.

If there’s a bright side, this is the first time a Jaguar’s made a clean tackle on someone since 2017.

I loved that twist. I also loved how they hid that with all the information about Annette Bening’s role concentrating on Supreme Intelligence portrayal (it also must’ve been fun for her to play both good and bad characters). The use of SI showing up as person from your past helped with hiding this one nicely.
