Although the used game thing is lame. I buy my games new anyway though, so it isn't that big a deal to me personally. It's like a ten dollar difference on a good day (usually less), so I'd rather pay the difference to support the people that made it rather than Gamestop or someone similar. But it is a anti-consumer

Which games they showed at the PS4 reveal were confirmed as exclusives? If they haven't said anything, I'm assuming in this day and age it's on both. Killzone 4, Infamous: Second Son, and maybe that Knack game are all I can think of.

Well you don't need to trust anything, because E3 is before you'll be able to buy the console and you'll get to see for yourself. Also remember if eight of those fifteen games are new IP, then half are sequels, and sequels are likely to include some established core games.

Because it's a style thing and some people use it and some don't. It's not "correct" or "incorrect" unless you do it inconsistently. I'm not a journalist, but Wikipedia says the AP Stylebook says not to use it, and if you're a journalist or a PR person that's a pretty authoritative source.

I was kind of wondering that too. People hated "Vita," they hate "Infinity," they hate "360," but PS4 is just fine. I think numbers are boring; I think it's kind of a cop out to use a number.

The fact that we've gone so long without a new console launch and actually had something resembling peace between console fanboys for a while is really making me hate the fanboy wars here. I wish we could all just chill out a bit about the console rivalries. :(

I've been hearing this a lot every since that rumor started; why do people feel this way? I mean, if the system still ends up being comparatively priced and has good non-Kinect games, why does it matter that the Kinect comes shipped with the system? Let's not forget that the PS3 shipped with "mandatory" motion

This makes me sad because I killed a Draugr the other day in skyrim and his body started spinning around on its head like it was breakdancing, but it stopped just before I could manage to get a video of it. :(

I just realized...I love all the parts of Zelda that everyone else hates. I love both sailing and the water temple. Apparently something is wrong with me...but the water temple was actually my favorite dungeon from Ocarina, and sailing was one of the reasons Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game.

I'm with you on the sailing. I enjoyed looking for islands and secret areas too—and the music is great. (Someone posted a clip from it in a thread below, and I haven't navigated off the page yet mainly because I'm still listening to it.) I think a lot of people don't like it because it is slower paced, but I feel like

Yeah, that song brings all the memories of this game back...

People didn't like phantom hourglass? Why not? I hadn't heard this before.

I dunno, I feel like the technology angle is kind of a crutch. I had real feelings about the moral choices in The Walking Dead, and I don't think cosmetic differences really drove that. You have those kind of crying on the side of the road scenes in action movies, but they don't really hit you in the gut. I think in

I agree, and I think it's because they use random NPCs on the street to convey these choices. There's really no emotional weight attached to a nameless NPC who may not ever show up in the plot again after this event scripted solely for your benefit. If game developers want players to think seriously about moral

I think that's he's on the right track here, but I think there is a bigger problem with moral dilemmas in games.

I agree, but you can measure morality in ways other than good/evil. The problem is that games that have tried to do that so far still kind of give off a good/evil connotation (i.e. Mass Effect).

I agree with that. The worst thing that can be said about the ads on the Xbox is that they're a missed opportunity to do something else with the space. In practice, I barely even notice them.

And actually, it's much easier to get to the game you're playing on the Xbox. (I use both, for what it's worth, and usually play my PS3 more because my Xbox is old, the hard drive is nearly full, and replacements from Microsoft are expensive.) The Xbox starts off your cursor right on top of the game you want to

The decisions you make will define the Kaplans’ lives, but they may also tell you something about yourself.
