mysterious indeed.
@Nytmare: nothing wrong there. Manufacturers call it a parking brake for a good reason, to engage while parked. It's really a simple static brake without alot of leverage actuated by a cable and ratcheting pawl. Always engage the parking brake before shifting into park or gear with driving brakes on.
@shift321: 打倒资本主义!
That was awesrome!
I think the lesson that should be learned here Ms. Motor isn't that you shouldn't post any news that is remotely automotive, but rather DO NOT POST a otherwise catty an article that would be better found in Jezebel. We've lost many a fellow brave Jalops to their moderators in the past and still hold quite a grudge…
@Roberto G.: Ahem, incest is a private matter and best kept within the family.
@Krochus: I totally vouch for an i-beam, leaf sprung front axle for the Mustang. Ford's done a fairly good job with a live rear, so why not? And because, Y'know, it's for the fans.
I can see from your post that you fit in just nicely. I look forward to some great post from you.
Murilee, Ben you will be missed. Now don't be a stranger and drop a line every now and then, we'll keep a 12 pack in the fridge for ya. Best wishes.
@The Dewd: true, but remember in an aircraft you'll only hit the ground once. Enjoy your flight :-).
@sinikl: coattails or, petticoats?
@monkeyracing: don't forget the Carroll Shelby brand Depends. Y'know for the vintage fans.
I would buy this simply to place in my gadget drawer. It seems rather empty since I last cleaned it out. This would make for good start to add to all that clutter.
@loosejello: I'm hungry and love food, is that good enough? :)
@loosejello: I'd love to see that.
@loosejello: I was thinking along the lines with a rear suspension there's always chain growth along the rear axle's path... (unless the pivot is concentric around the bottom bracket, so there's one way).
...looks heavy... Any rear suspension applications?... No?... didn't think so. I'll pass.
Release the cats!
It was a crazy sight to behold even from work across town (I work in Millbrae the neighboring city down) and even crazier considering I live near there too, I'm ok though. But the real crazy part? The average price of them homes were about +500k a pop each. Ouch!
