Omg, you are my long lost name sister. I just ended up going by Kate professionally, because fewer people ask that question for some reason, and it is not stuck in the permanent diminutive.
Someone does need to course correct for all the Katie because it is my given name, but there sure are a lot of variations between names that can be shortened and the fact the K or C first letter pretty much depended on the arbitrary whim of your parents.

I think the spread is plenty feminist. Maybe if the boners were obviously shopped to make men everywhere feel insecure it would be less so, but as it is, there's nothing wrong with turning the tables on the male gaze for maximum statement and enjoyment.
