This is the best-written article on this subject I have ever read. It shows great knowledge of both universes, sticks to canon and doesn't degrade into any fanboyish wishful thinking.
I understand completely. I worked retail over Christmas a few times and the people who came in on Christmas Eve were panicked and ended up spending waaaay more money than they wanted to/planned to out of guilt and fear. The last Saturday before Christmas was our biggest day of the year hands down.
As the scene plays out, Don actually encourages Mary not to come on the show, not because it will be re-traumatizing to her, or because putting a victim in a "debate" with her rapist on live television is a really fucking terrible idea and adherent to the sensationalism Sorkin so loathes, but because she will be…
I also really enjoy the newsroom. I agree that the plot line of this last episode was problematic but the rest of this article just comes off as sour grapes.
FUCK YES, SLYTHERIN!!
You absolutely can argue against a min wage without being a monster. It's a horrendously inefficient way to help poor people. A basic minimum income is much less distortionary and doesn't leave the lowest skilled people unemployed due to high min wages.
Hello Kate!
Uhmm...I hate to agree, but a warning would have been nice.
I blame Mr. Sanders exactly zero for his "if someone else shows up, shit's gonna get real" reaction. Disoriented naked guy = holy crap x1000. The video makes me nervous - in a Blair Witch kind of way. I actually find it odd he felt compelled to explain himself! He did help the dude, after all. Also, wtf is with the…

I'm having a pretty hard time keeping it together over Sherlock the guinea pig. DOES HE SOLVE TINY CRIMES?!
My local humane society had a cat up for adoption named Edgar Allen Purr. I WANTED HIM SO BAD.
Wow!
Don't worry I'm sure he was wearing the period-correct clothing
Seriously, any dude that uses "libations" (or even worse "m'lady") who is not dressed in period-accurate reproduction clothing needs to be drawn and quartered. The Queen has so ordered.
How about a moratorium on grommets and sparkly nonsense while we're at it? Please stop ruining perfectly good shirts with this shit, plus size clothing manufacturers. Glitter and the word PARIS will not magically make me thinner.
Now, all you have to do is raise a son who has a better attitude towards women than the guy who wrote this article.
The surprising thing is the whole "Jewel Thief/Cop" angle was never in the original book. It was inserted by the studio in order to make the film more "palatable" to a mass audiance.
