I had an 86 4Runner with the auto, and it was an absolute dog. Full throttle everywhere. Granted, that was with the non-turbo motor, but it still saps a ton of power and you’re down a gear. I don’t think you could pay me to own another one of those trucks with the auto.

I’d have it. X3s aren’t awful to drive. I had one as a service loaner when my E92 was in the shop, just the 2L, and it had sufficient pep. M-Sport package made it less wallowy.
