And the Alfa is 50% faster to 60 than the Miata. The Alfa also has almost 100 more hp than the Miata. In Europe, the 4c is under 2000lb. It’s only in the United States of Freedom with all of our regulations that the 4C is 2400lb.

Carbon fiber isn’t cheap. Making an entire car out of carbon fiber really isn’t cheap. The price is reflective of the materials used, in addition to the fact that it’s a low volume Italian sports car.

Or, you could have an LS, which is not much heavier, makes more power and will almost assuredly last longer with less maintenance. Plus, it’s a V8 in a little rear wheel drive coupe. I know LS swapping everything is overdone, but in this case, it’s the right way to go.

Except that LS swapping these is pretty easy. If memory serves, it even has the mounting points for it. The LS will be far more reliable too.

High end does not necessarily imply M3 or similar. Take, for instance, the 540d, which would be a more apt comparison. In the case of that, yes, MPG is more important, and as diesel is about the same price as premium, the comparison is relevant. Fact of the matter is, turbocharged cars run better on premium. Period.

Most high end cars require premium. If the car is tuned to premium, you’ll get more performance and mileage on premium.

I was able to do the plugs on my Legacy without removing the engine. Just requires a lot of u-joints.
