You’d think insurance companies would take note and jack up rates for cars that are more likely to kill pedestrians. OTOH, there may be a perverse incentive where killing a guy with your car costs the insurance company less than maiming a guy with your car.

Two things are cool about the is low mileage CRV. 1) The manual transmission, 2) it’s old enough that you can add an aftermarket headunit (as shown in the listing). The latter would allow you to really modernize this vehicle. No you won’t have adaptive cruise or lane assist, or keyless entry or push button start. But…
