I'm one of those people, and I do love my dumbphone. Best damn texting machine I ever had. Also, AT&T offers unlimited data for "standard phones" for just $10 a month. I'm a lifeguard and I need weather reports often, so it works great for that. Facebook and YouTube don't hurt either.

You haven't seen these yet? My university has at least 3 similar inflatable obstacle courses. One of them is actually designed to race RC cars in.

This is great and all but I'm trying to get some of the videos on my iPod touch (4th gen) and they fail to import into iTunes.

I only carry 2, my good old dumbphone and my iPod Touch. Music and contact with the outside world is all I really need.

Then I have not achieved my goal, which was to succeed in making you snort potato chips out of your nose.

The majority of Windows updates can be downloaded in the background and installed during shutdown, but updates that Microsoft considers "critical" will prompt you to restart within 15 minutes.

I think he's trying to draw the "forbidden fruit tastes much sweeter" analogy here, but I agree, it doesn't hold water. If I have an Android phone that uses AirPlay, there is no reason for me to get an iPhone... to use AirPlay. Or an iPod, or an iPad, or a Macbook Air.

I'm sorry, what innovative wireless music speaker solution have YOU invented?

I wonder, how fast do these go stale?

"the process which includes baking the chips for 8 to 10 hours before the gelatine chips are fried."

Knowing Apple, they would sue them because they have a patent on that way of releasing products.

Actually, most commonly viruses are built for computers with the most market share. It's part of why Macs have historically been so "impervious" to virii; in truth, it's because the market share for PCs has been hovering around 90% for the past 10 years (although I'm sure that's been changing). However, the iPad has

This is going to turn into a fantastic competition between Microsoft and Apple. I'm glad I'm here to watch it. As for the Surface Pro... holy shit, it just sounds amazing. I think it might be time for me to get a tablet/ultrabook and replace this hunk of crap notebook.

Well, unlike many people over here in the US I actually know what an LP is (long play... seriously, I've asked my friends and they have no idea what I mean) and the common name for a vinyl is a record. Technically you're not in the wrong here, but I wanted to clarify. :)

I originally thought this article was going to be straight up Microsoft vs. Apple, but I forgot how many Android tablets and e-readers are out there.

That video totally helped my understanding of what the hell this thing is. #sarcasm

That CRT sound is great. I can always tell when I've left my TV on. These sounds are classics. Although I can't say I'll miss the dial-up sound, it brings back memories of an old crappy computer...

It definitely sounds a lot like the 56k modem, but I don't remember the three screeches after the dial tones.

Of course artists release LPs. They're called albums. :P

Not really. Not on most laptops. The only boot up beep I hear on my notebook is when I have to enter my power-on password.
