Just a guess, but they probably figured being in prison was the perfect alibi.

2010 Audi you say? did it need tires or something? 2 water pumps in 6 months and a motor sounds totally normal to me...

you had me at the first complete paragraph of regulatory descriptor acronyms.

Yeah, it has to do with creating a new category of EV called the “BEVx” which is between a full BEV (like a Tesla or LEAF) and a PHEV / plug-in hybrid (like a Volt or Ford Fusion Energi).

this weird obscure knowledge of absolutely minor nuance is why I come back here every day.

The 2014-2016 cars are software limited to 1.9 gallons. Basically, when you’ve used 1.9 gallons, the engine shuts off and says the tank is empty, even though there’s a half gallon still sitting in there.

Apparently you can re-program the US market i3 REx to allow more than 2 gallons of fuel, which makes it a lot more practical. It’s the same tank as the European model, but software doesn’t let the car use more than a certain amount. I believe this is so it gets in a particular classification with the EPA or the CARB.

The first Prius was so generic that I didn’t know it existed until the third generation was getting ready to hit the market.

I would seriously buy an i3 if it had at least 200 miles of electric range OR a range-extender with more than two gallons and that could be used regularly.

All words are made up. Don’t be an asshole

I’m trying to make my dreams come true:

It’s starting to show up in the US too. I think people like it because it also mimics freeway street racing as well.

Hell to the yeah!

When i was doing my undergrad work, the Phaeton hit dealerships and our VW dealer did throw the only PR event I remember them ever having.

I was in a college design class/group who was invited to compete on site crating an art car out of a vw beetle. The competition was spread out over two days and we were only able

i don’t even know anyone that can afford a tesla...

Too bad I’m a loser and don’t know half the people it would take to get a free car.

There are a number of reasons for this, including decreased access to jobs that pay enough to afford children for Americans.
