Get an airport express and make your own AP capitalizing on the speed of the wired connection. You'll have the best of both worlds, and you can get good refurb APEs from Apple for less than $70...

I stream plenty of video on my phone... Hulu Plus, Netflix, Youtube, etc. So having the necessary speed on my phone to do this is a big deal.
