The inflation pressure on the tire’s sidewall is MAXIMUM pressure, not recommended pressure. Recommended pressure is dependent on weight (bike + you + everything else). Higher pressure translates to lower rolling resistance only when on a very smooth surface. Lowering your tire pressure will get you both more comfort

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate the advice.

Yep. Discovering the padded mountain bike shorts was a huge moment for me. I am bigger guy so I don’t like the tight spandex shorts. And I know many men are self-conscious about it.

I approve of your use of “clip-in” pedals without stopping to explain why they’re actually called “clipless” pedals. I’ve already wasted enough time in my life making this distinction to others as well.

Charity bike rides are actually a great way to get into bike riding. They are typically designed for casual riders. I recommend the MS fundraisers. They do a very strong job of supporting riders on the trails. They are fun and casual. And they are a good way to meet people.

Buy bicycle shorts!!!

For used bike shoppers, this website is a great tool to find out if you are getting a decent deal or not. As someone who recently was shopping around for a bike and had no idea what I should spend I found it to be invaluable.

It’s not trying to be modern retro though.

Best advice I got is do what works for you. Also no one has ever died from crying. Believe me with two, it was hard to meet everyone’s needs when they wanted it. And they are doing fine at 15 months. Everyone tells you that you’ll never sleep or shower again. That is utter BS. I use to take at least a quick shower

You get a star for the Parks and Recreation reference.

hell yeah

“hitting it long (which you probably won’t do anyway) usually carries the same penalty as hitting it short, so give yourself a chance to actually get there.”

I agree. All EV’s should come loaded with Oregon Trail.

up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, cruise on, cruise off, start.

I have a Colorado. It’s easier to maneuver than a full size, gets better gas mileage, has almost the same creature comforts, and still can do truck stuff.

Wow, it’s got tail lights! Good eye!

How about now?
