I think MSNBC had a retired pilot on after that happened and he basically said it looks bad but it wasn’t going to crash the plane. Its something pilots train for. You cut the engine and the fuel and then land the plane on one engine.  

Jet engines actually have a “containment ring” designed to prevent shrapnel of a failed engine from hitting the plane and causing further damage.

While I think it’s generally inappropriate to speculate about the family drama of a bunch of strangers, the contention from the Oher family is that he was paid.

This is the least ugly Infiniti truck in years. The mid-2010s one looked like a fish, then the next one had a rear end that made no sense and a front end that still looked like a melted blobfish. If this is Infiniti’s design language moving forward, I’m here for it.

I agree. I really don’t like how people are so quick to make a decision about “who wronged who” when we don’t have all the facts of the situation yet. There are so many factors and possibilities about what happened between him and the Touhy’s. They could have profited off him and kept some financial details hidden…

And the couple’s kids.. why they were getting any money out of said conservatorship makes no sense. It’s like Jamie spears getting money from Britney’s conservatorship, makes no sense.

Kinda where I’m standing. This sounds like something that they have been trying to resolve in private for more than a few years and now it is moving into the open in the courts. 

So much this. Bring back stellar outward visibility.

Not to sound reasonable or anything, but something went very badly somewhere, not just in the last week. It is not worth much, just being a random internet opinion, but I think I will wait until all the story comes out. As for the movie money - Hollywood accounting should be illegal. Oher is not the first or last…

There’s an EXTREMELY bougie mall not too far from where I live, and VinFast somehow has a storefront there, alongside Rivian, Lucid (IIRC), and Tesla storefronts. I can’t really fathom VinFast’s level of delusion for them to think they can compete.
