My dad has an old military buddy named Spyder (first name). Don't think he changed it, but was actually given that name.
My current boss has some great ones too. She once referenced Schertz (Texas) in an email, but spelled it "Shirtz". Immediately, all of us smartasses responded with things like "Just north of Pantz?" "Beltz is right there in between." and so on. Luckily for us though, Boss has a sense of humor about her (frequent)…
I tried it once awhile back thinking the same thing, but I wasn't allowed to change my name at all. It forced me into using my real name with my FB. I backed out of there real fast and went right back to my burner.
This. I use a burner because I don't want to attach my FB (it shows up with my real name) and I don't use Twitter at all, nor do I want to create an account.
I feel like this is something that's been addressed somewhere, but I've never been able to find it, re: Usernames.
I know! Mona Lisa was just completely forgotten after that one. She DID have an action figure though!
Just adding my anecdote:
When I waited tables in PA, they made us cough up 5% of our credit card tips and admitted it was because of card processing fees. It may not be the norm across the country, but it's not totally uncommon either. Fucked up, yes. Uncommon, no.

The husband liked a carafe of cabernet (nothing particularly expensive, just the house stuff), a little pitcher of ice and…
I try to ask for a pitcher of water when I'm out because I drink a ton of it, really really quickly. I try to phrase it politely so it doesn't sound like I think they're neglectful and slow. Some variant on "If you don't mind, would you please bring a pitcher? I go through a lot of water and it'd save you some…
Every hero does NOT need a love interest! I want to see more about good action/fantasy/superhero-y stuff that doesn't have love interests!
You are a treasure, Mark. Never stop.
Saving that one!
Sex doesn't apply to everybody, but you could definitely expand the relationship thing to any relationship be it romantic/platonic/work/familial/etc.
To add to your first point, it would be really nice to see more variety in the sex/relationship stuff than just hetero/homosexual (not that they branch outside hetero much).
