Wow, what a waste of someones precious time and effort. It really is as simple as 'if you don't like it, don't watch it'. Hell, if you'd already decided that Jackson was only stretching the films out to purely make money (something that doesn't ring true with anything we know about the man or anyone else over at Weta)

My favourite of these three films is still the first. And no, it's not fantastic or anything, but it was enjoyable. I had fun, tons of fun watching it. It felt like I was re-discovering sides of Middle-Earth that I had sort of forgotten about: the non-serious parts, the parts where a Hobbit goes out for adventure and,

To beat a monster, you have to be a monster?

Haha, looks like the fuckin Hipster Herald. So basically, he looks like like a fantasy guy that's trying to look like a contemporary guy that's trying to look like an 1850s guy.

I want THIS Max Payne to come back...

I wouldn't mind doing the filler stuff as much (I avoid them atm) if the core combat mechanic was fun. As it stands, it's like playing an MMO for me, and I'm not a fan of those. If the combat gameplay was either more geared towards the tactical view or more geared towards action and movement, I would enjoy it much

Personally, I can think of plenty of light-hearted material in previous comic book movies. Superman: The Movie, the very first of those many of us consider part of this superhero "era," had plenty of light moments peppered through it, as well as an appropriately comic-book-y overall story and feel.

It's a combination of factors. A big one is what I've seen of it, before my friend gave up and moved on to something else. There was nothing but frustration over the dumbing-down of tactics, reduction of spell variety, lack of control during battles, AI inability to follow directions without being told many times,

It IS just a copy, you moron.

No, but that game's action features the resurrection of Big Boss from a corpse-like state, and it also occurs at the end of his life. The only time we hear him speak, he's already dying; some strain/change in vocalization is to be expected.

Just once more, for emphasis: he is very old and at death's door.

The justification I keep hearing on the Steam forums is, "Well, Sutherland is Big Boss, and Hayter is Solid."

...eliding the fact that Hayter already played BB in Snake Eater and Peace Walker—but then again, I'm looking at sequential continuity in a Hideo Kojima game; I've obviously taken leave of my senses. ;)

now let's see if we can swap out the insufferable Kiefer Sutherland's voice to... anyone or anything else

"And while we recognize Star Wars takes place in a fictional universe, we couldn't help but get pedantic..."

Why do people watch streams?

I loved this film when i was a kid, and i tried re-watching it a few years ago as well. It's just terrible. The acting is not great, the pacing is bad, the narrative, while thematically interesting in broad strokes, is handled poorly and dumbed down. While Into Darkness is not great by any means, and has it's own

It's probably a case of "you had to be there", like many films from the 80s. I finally got to watch it two years ago or so and it was so dull, overacted, uneventful and badly done, I was shocked about how often this is cited as Sci-Fi highlight. Gimme Into Darkness any day!

I just want to play as my mute/voiceless Grey Warden dual-wielding warrior character again.

I'm just gonna draw a line straight in the sand. Those who hate the ending because the relationship is "badly written" or what ever excuse you want to give so you can pretend not to be homophobic, are homophobic. I really hate when people try to hide their bigotry behind dumb excuses. It's the same as saying "Hey,

I'm with you. I have yet to be bored with either of the first two Hobbit films. In fact, I was extremely entertained by them. I expect the same to be true with the final movie.

That was a whole lotta 'meh'.
