Am I poor or rich? Am I white? Am I an indigenous person in the colonies? All sorts of good questions need to be answered.

Hells yes. I’m sitting in what I consider the worst airport in the country after a heinous morning of travel delays and I would still take it over a goddamn wagon train or steerage. Also, I’m a woman traveling alone. Scandal.
Table legs! Right? Weren’t they weird about table legs?
Emma!
The first time I read that book (for “fun”) I threw it across the room when it came to the walking scene with D’Arcy’s judgmental... sisters? cousins? Anyway, eventually finished it for a class. Still sucked.
So she doesn’t pass the Turing test?
Sorry, too busy running Hollywood and waging war on Christmas. Laterzzzzz :)
Word. Trump is supposedly “pro-Israel” (whatever that means, as a Jew I’m kind of over that particular political playing card), but has a pretty serious following on Stormfront that he has yet to disavow.
My apartment in Chicago was built in 1934. Having lived on the West Coast for a while, I was thrilled. I feel like I’m living in antique. My New England friends are not impressed; my European ones even less so.
Double use of the word “inspired.” I am the kind of sick that stops language from languaging.
I spent some time gossiping with some girlfriends from grad school yesterday— but it doesn’t feel catty, because we mostly talk about which guys are trying to make the rounds through our (mostly female) cohort.

It inspired a new Spiderman, actually, partially inspired by Glover. His name is Miles Morales and he’s black and Latino! I’m not into superhero comics, so I don’t read them, but I think it looks great.
The only times in my life I had a (Jewish) slur thrown at me to my face is when I was living in Missouri. It happened a couple more times, but the first time I was 8.
So awesome! But also agree with everyone here: A for concept, C for execution.
Don’t forget the glory that was A Double Shot at Love
a camp with no claim to scientific diagnosis and treatment that treats sex addiction right alongside rape trauma recovery.
This is... a very odd comment on a very old post. And you left three of them. Congrats.
Points for your name! I like your metric— someone pointed out that people who didn’t live in relatively urban areas used dial-ups longer than I thought people did.
I was watching “Undeclared” on Netflix last night and there’s a whole plot line about someone stealing a college student’s floppy. The anxiety that came…
