Yeah the hackers don't know anything about radio signals.

I don't believe you are real!
I don't believe dark matter is real
That is possibly the most depressing thought ever.
Thanks! Didn't know the name for it, but have seen this many, many times. :) Now I'll know not to call it "that thing that happens down by the water when the temperature's just right."
Rise going for 19 at Radioshack :> I have an F3 on Virgin Mobile, I have to disagree on the ranking it got, should be higher (same group as the optimus elite???) and am also running an Optimus G on AT&T, just got it in fact, 50 dollars. far as I'm concerned it will work fine for me (also disagree with the ranking it…
Not to be insensitive, but a dog locating a mine that i might have stepped on otherwise is a HUGE morale booster to me. The dog, perhaps not so much.
Well yeah haha everyone votes in their own personal best interest, which is why collective decisions are such a huge controversy when implemented - even if they will benefit a strong majority.
There's a very strong correlation there, granted. But there's also a strong correlation (not surprisingly) between executives at massive companies (who have to be very intelligent and charismatic as a job requirement) and conservative viewpoints.
Hey girls...
More importantly, ever heard of the Aegis Combat System? SM-2 AND SM-6 interceptors, designed specifically for this kind of threat, and SPY-1 radars that are extremely discerning in high clutter environments.
True, however just as one technology advances so does another. It would be unrealistic to assume counter measures aren't being considered, if not already in existence.
But lasers can. And you know they're coming.
That's pretty much what I was thinking. Mach 4.6 according to wikipedia, which is 3,500mph. I don't know that the phalanx would even know the missile was in range by the time it hit. Would be super interesting to find out, without the ship being full of people anyways.
I think the laser would be the trump card here...assuming they work as advertised.
also mach 5 means 1700 m/sec speed while the CIWS effective range is only 3600m :)
just like when Palestine basically flood the Israeli Iron Dome defense with cheap ass rockets
Well the question becomes, can you beat missile defence systems with sheer speed? It would seem the answer is yes.
It would also run out of ammo trying to hit it, not to mention, the Phalanx is 1980's technology.
Mach 5 would make it very difficult to manuever and change aspect but very easy to plot coarse and kill with something similar to the HOE (Homing Overlay Experiment)
