It does make sense. The SS, even with it’s Australian origin, will be less expensive to fix over the long term compared to an older Bimmer. Considering it’s still a fire-breathing V8 that isn’t going to be made anymore (and popular with many auto aficionados), you’re not losing anything with the swap at all. Net gain.
