A hometown friend flew to visit me in college, because she was interested in a nearby med school. I took her out in my ‘96 Miata m-edition—75k miles, a bit scrappy—and she fell in love with it.
There’s an old, little-known idiom that goes something like this: Don’t judge a book by its cover.
I don’t know that I’d call Take Shelter a sci-fi piece, but it’s the lack of Attack the Block that I find distressing.
It’s ok for men to have loving friendships without being into each other. Really.
Done a few good years as a United 1K, so have some thoughts. In general, airport food is getting a lot better almost everywhere. More and more airports are revamping their lineups as they do renovations, and many feature locations of popular local spots.
In addition to being a perfect, visual summary of Snyder as a filmmaker, the GIF at the top of this post also depicts a scene from a much better movie in which Zod and Superman team up in the third act to defeat the real villain, Zack Snyder, who they realize has been the true threat to Earth all along.
ah, the good old Mitchell, my 4th grade teacher, Harley Hartung, was a B-25 driver in the South Pacific (think he was with the 13th, Jungle AF). I’m assuming going from a C-130 to a Gulfstream 550 is due to fuel efficiency?
Russia: Silly Americans! We have low-frequency L-band radars which can see your vaunted stealth aircraft, and we can direct our fighters and missiles against them with ease!
Denying the enemy the ability to communicate is often equated with denying them the opportunity for victory. As the battle for Mosul continues in the drive to push the Islamic State from Iraq, the U.S Air Force is flying one of its most effective yet least known aircraft, the EC-130H Compass Call, on daily missions …
Human decency doesn’t broadly go out the window after a blizzard or any other localized disaster. Human decency is broadly demonstrated by these events.
Note that after every major disaster, the very first people to arrive to help are your friends and neighbors, frequently before the ‘first responders’ actually get…
